Call for Presentations

PARENTING NOW! and our conference partners and sponsors invite you to participate in our first statewide conference on parenting April 28-29, 2008 at the Hilton Eugene in Eugene, Oregon. Don’t miss the opportunity to take part in this exciting event.

We are seeking presenters for a wide range of topics. Participants will be interested in workshops that encompass research, organizational, and programmatic topics which support effective parenting education. Possible workshop topic areas are listed below. Proposals will be accepted until midnight (PST)  December 14, 2007.

One presenter per presentation will be provided a complimentary registration for the full conference.

Our Goal

The goal for this conference is to bring together professionals who work with families for dynamic and informative educational and networking opportunities. We will share information and present current research and best practices that attendees can use to improve services, advance our understanding, and thereby improve opportunities for families to grow together.

Who will be attending?

Approximately 300 attendees are expected, including parenting educators, social service providers, healthcare providers, educators and others.

  2. Responding effectively to almost any parent question, across ages and in tough situations
  3. Honing group process skills

  • Tools for screening families for referrals
